New scoping review on research priority setting for older adults

Group of middle and older female white adults seated around a table.

We have carried out a scoping review  to help informing our programme of work.

Some key findings:

  • All of the 64 priority setting initiatives took place in high income countries. Most of which were carried out in the USA, UK and Canada.
  • Only ~ 50% of initiatives actually involved older adults.
  • Reporting of  research priority-setting processes  was found to be lacking in critical areas.
